In 1768 young baker Charles Fortwenger opened a small artisanal shop in Gertwiller. His recipe for success? Homemade gingerbread, baked using the traditional recipe, with an addition of special, secret ingredients. The next 200 years brought an incredible development of the Alsacian brand and its products have carried the tradition through generations of sweets lovers!
